Terri Thompson

I started working at Sundre High on November 15, 2001 when my son was a year and a half old.  He has since graduated in 2018 - and now to get used to being an empty-nester.  I took a leave of absence last year and am returning to my role of Admin - Finance this year.  This is a fabulous staff to work with and it is like I never was away.  During my year away, I spent 6 months doing payroll on a pipeline near Grande Prairie which was a very big change from high school, but I met some fabulous people.  I then got to spend a month in Mexico with three of my former foreign students that I hosted (a brother and sister, as well as their cousin).  They treated me like gold and showed me so much of Mexico that you normally don't see.  Then I was lucky enough to spend five weeks in Telegraph Creek, BC working with my friend running a cafe and lodge.  An amazing experience with the Tahltan First Nation including salmon fishing, canning and drying salmon.  And now back to work.
